Pleiospilos, a plant that looks like a rock, perfect!

I thought i had just bought the perfect cactus, one that doesn’t stab you and looks like a rock. Its not a cactus, its a succulent apparently.

Four grey green leaves looking more like perfectly split rounded pebbles. Hemispherical opposite leaves. The name means “many spots” The plant mimics the appearance of granite pebbles that have been split open.

A new set of leaves growing from the centre. Fascinating wee plant.

I have seen a report suggesting the dark spots concentrate sunlight entering the leaf and assist photosynthesis. That could be interesting.

Very cute. I love my new plant. Love how it mimics granite.
