Delosperma Cooperi, iceplant magic.

Ooh what a tangled web you weave as I first focus to perceive. It was a smart intro in my head but, lost in translation to the page.

This plant was a bit tired looking when I picked it up on a whim. Amazing to see it perk up with a splash of water.

Starbursts and flares.

Somewhere in there a stigma is picking up pollen.

A bud emerges and uncoils slowly for the camera.

Pretty in orange.

Sparkling ice crystals loaded with pollen but no sign of stigma. I need a more powerful macro lens or a microscope.

I like the photo but I can’t see any sign of the stigma. I might need to dissect a flower. That means a few more hours of my life watching flowers grow.
